Role Overview
As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, candidates will contribute to the design and development of software powering Qualcomm mobile chipsets used in smartphones and connected devices.
Engineers will work on real-world technologies including multimedia systems, wireless networks, embedded platforms and IoT solutions.

Selected engineers may work on:
• Multimedia technologies (Audio, Video codecs, Image processing)
• Wireless modem technologies (4G, WiFi, Bluetooth)
• Platform level software (Linux, Android, Windows, BSP)
• IoT technologies for connected devices, drones, smart assistants, AR/VR
Key Responsibilities
Engineers may work on the following development areas:
• Real-time embedded software development
• Device driver development
• Android / Linux mobile software development
• Wireless modem and connectivity software
• Communication protocol stack development
• Multimedia software stack and firmware
• Kernel, BSP and device driver development
• Embedded platform software architecture
Required Skills
Candidates should have strong knowledge of:
• Programming in C / C++
• Data Structures and Operating System concepts
• Linux / UNIX systems
• Embedded systems and device drivers
• Networking protocols (TCP / UDP / IP / SIP / RTP)
• Wireless technologies (CDMA / GSM / LTE)
Good analytical skills, teamwork ability and strong communication skills are important.
Qualification
Candidates must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Computer Science / ECE / Communication Engineering or related fields
